A couple of weeks ago, the OC Kids had a fun park day with Frigidaire. Since The Odd Life of Timothy Green is all about the little messes that can happen in life, Jennifer Garner was there to help get messy with the kids.
There is nothing more fun than allowing kids to play and get messy during the summer. It can bring special laughter and smiles that can never be forgotten. Summer is about creating lifelong memories with your children, and Frigidaire helped us to create some special memories this year.
Before we kicked off our day of fun, we allowed the kids to eat all kinds of "messy" foods like strawberries, dirt pudding and gooey nacho cheese sauce. The moms did not have to worry about our kids getting dirty because they could easily get cleaned up with the Frigidaire Affinity washer and dryer.
After the kids enjoyed a fun lunch, they got down and dirty with Jennifer Garner (The star of the movie "The Odd Life of Timothy Green.")
Jennifer Garner is a brand ambassador for Frigidaire, and right now they are helping to support Save The Children. 1 in 4 children in the US live in poverty, and do not have access to healthy food. Since every child deserves a healthy start in life, Frigidaire is helping to donate $1 to Save the Children for every photo of "messy children" that is uploaded to the Frigidaire Facebook page. Frigidaire has made a $750,000 commitment towards helping this important cause.
We had not idea that those pictures of our kids would end up in the Enquirer.
Then it was time for the kids to do something that every kid only dreams about - making a shirt as dirty as possible! They got to use every possible type of messy stain fighting foods on their Frigidaire t-shirts. All the moms did not have to worry one bit, because Frigidaire helped to clean the mess right up!
Next it was time for creating some unforgettable summer memories by playing classic games like sack races, obstacle courses and tug-o-war. The kids are still talking about all the fun they had playing these classic childhood games at the park.
Once the family park day was over, Frigidaire helped clean all our kids up with the Affinity washer and dryer to hit the green carpet for the movie "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."
The paparazzi surrounded the Grauman's Chinese theatre as the kids walked the green carpet to preview the movie. The movie was so moving that it brought tears to the eyes of my older son Andrew. Since two of our kids are adopted, the storyline touched their hearts in a special way. When we were leaving the theatre Andrew said, "Mom, did I come from the Earth?" I said, "Andrew, you came from something even more special - my heart." It is a perfect family summer movie!
The Odd Life of Timothy Green is opening in theaters on Wednesday, August 15th.
Disclosure: We were provided a fun day with Frigidaire and a screening of the movie at no cost. All our thoughts and opinions are of our own.
