The Orange County Fire Authority Open House

"When I grow-up, I want to be a fireman." That was what my husband said when he was just a toddler, and now we hear the same words from our toddler.

On Saturday, fire stations in Orange County opened their doors for the community to come tour their fire stations. When we brought our children to visit our local fire station, they had a blast. Children (and parents) were invited to explore all the fire trucks. My kids spent almost two hours pretending to be firefighters for the day at the fun family event.

Missed it? Don't worry!! Get a group of your friends together, and schedule a tour of your local fire station. The OC Fire Authority encourages small groups to come visit the fire stations throughout the year.

These were some of our iMemories captured with our iPhone during the event.

  1. This Saturday, October 13th, the Orange County Fire Authority has their Annual Open House Event at their Headquarters facility located at 1 Fire Authority Road, Irvine, CA. The event runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be numerous types of fire equipment, Urban Search and Rescue Canine demonstrations--truly a little bit of everything for everyone. I encourage everyone to go and check it out.
