2012 Orange County Tree Lighting Ceremonies

The holidays are in full swing, and trees will be lighting up all around Orange County. There are so many tree lighting ceremonies that we decided just to round them all up into one article for you!

Balboa Island Tree Lighting
Sunday, December 2nd 4-6pm
124 Mariner Avenue
Newport Beach, Ca

Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be at the event with caroling starting at dusk. The event is free.

Nutcracker Tree Lighting and Holiday Village
Saturday, December 1st 10am to 7pm
205 Center St Promenade
Anaheim, CA

Free crafts, activities, holiday music and more. There will be fresh snow for the kiddos (bring gloves) and pictures with Santa. Free admission and parking.

Brea Tree Lighting
Thursday, December 6th 6pm to 8:30pm
1 Civic Center Circle
Brea, Ca

Enjoy a free evening with hot cocoa and Santa. 

Aliso Viejo Tree Lighting
Sunday, December 2nd 4:30 to 7:30pm
Grand Park/Town Center Amphitheater

The event will happen rain or shine. There will be Santa & Mrs. Claus, live entertainment, complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, visits with Santa and more. 

Crystal Cove Tree Lighting
Saturday, December 1st at 3pm
Crystal Cove State Beach

Come for caroling along the beach with Santa at this historic tree lighting ceremony. Hot cocoa will be provided by the Beachcomber restaurant and there will be a Holiday Bazaar with hand-crafted holiday gifts. Parking is located at Los Trancos parking lot on the East side of PCH. Parking is $15 with a shuttle service for $1 per person.

Newport Dunes Lighting of the Bay
Friday, December 7th at 6pm
1131 Back Bay Drive
Newport Beach, Ca

The bay will light-up at the annual family event at Newport Dunes. Santa will make his appearance wearing flip flops on a paddle board with musical appearances from the OC Song and Dance Team and CDM High School Choir. The event is free to the public.

The Mission San Juan Capistrano
Saturday, December 1st 5:30 to 8:00pm

San Juan Capistrano, CA 

While the tree lights up in San Juan Capistrano, locals can enjoy the annual "Christmas at the Mission" event. There will be live performances, cookie decorating, local performances and more. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Old Town Orange Tree Lighting
Sunday, December 2nd starting at 3:30pm

In the event of rain:
Chapman University's Campus
University Drive, Orange

Come join the festivities with music and fun at this tree lighting. There will be a candlelight choir procession lead by musical director Michael Short.

Downtown Fullerton
Saturday, December 3rd 5pm
125 E. Wilshire Avenue
Fullerton, CA

There will be a large winter market from 12-4pm. The tree will be lit at 5pm. Admission is free to the event.

Mariner's Church Tree Lighting
Sunday, December 2nd 6:30-7:30pm

Irvine, CA

Kick-off the holiday season with crafts, food and fun. The free event will feature fun for the entire family.
