Operation Christmas Child has been a vital part of my children's service work. Since they were just babies, together, we started making boxes during the holidays to be sent around the world. For the past ten years, my children and I have helped to make a difference in the lives of children around the world.
As the years have past my children have become more aware of the impact they are making by participating in Operation Christmas Child, and they pray often for the children who have received our boxes. Prayers that the children are happy and healthy.
The children and I worked on our boxes for the 10th year in a row and dropped them off at our local church (a local drop-off location). When we went into the church, the kids were so happy to see a stack of filled boxes prepared to be flown around the world.
We encourage other families to join in our commitment to this program, and love for giving to others. With so much pain and suffering happening in our world, we encourage others to share their blessings with those who are less fortunate.
Operation Christmas Child will be collecting donation boxes for Christmas until November 19th. Families can use an ordinary shoe box to fill with items for an exceptional boy or girl. There are drop-off locations available across the United States, and you can find your closest location here. Families that cannot make a box before the 19th of this month have the option of making a digital box online.
