Orange County Rescue Mission in Immediate Need of Help

It is getting colder...and colder here in Orange County. Can you imagine if  your family did not have shelter with these freezing temperatures? There is an overwhelming amount of homeless families and children currently living in Orange County who really need cold weather items to survive this winter.
The Orange County Rescue Mission is out in our community helping to save lives everyday. There are in desperate need of donations, and every little bit goes a long way.
The following items are needed for donation:
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Jackets
  • Rain gear/Umbrellas

Equally as important to the survival of homeless men, women and children in Orange County are food donations. Food donations will help to feed not only those living on streets, but also families who rely on the Orange County Rescue Mission’s food box program for their weekly meals.  The food boxes alone provide more than 120,000 meals to needy families throughout Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Community members are encouraged to donate food items, including:

        Canned meat or tuna
        Canned chili or soup
        Spaghetti sauce or tomato sauce
        Canned fruit and vegetables
        Peanut butter and jelly
        Cereal
        Rice, pasta or beans
Dairy products- milk, cheese and eggs
        Fresh produce

Donations can be made at the Orange County Rescue Mission drop-off location in Tustin. Thank you for taking the time to help save a life in our community.
