Walgreen's opened their 8,000th store in Los Angeles at the iconic corner of Sunset and Vine. This is not like an Walgreen's that I have seen before, but a lavish one-stop location for all our needs.

I shop at Walgreens all the time for my family, but I have never seen a Walgreens quite like this before. One of the highlights of the new store location is the LOOK Boutique. This is not a typical drugstore beauty department, but a department featuring niche cosmetic and skincare products that cannot be found in any other drugstore.
Customers who visit the LOOK Boutique will be able to get their eyebrows and eyelashes done at the "eyebrow bar." There are product demonstrations and even a hair stylist for blow-outs.
In the LOOK Boutique there are kiosks to help guide customers to find the perfect match for their individual skincare needs.
The new Walgreen's has a state of the art pharmacy designed to help build good relationships between the pharmacist and the customer. The pharmacy features a "Ask You Pharmacist" desk, consultation rooms and express Rx kiosks for speedy checkout.
Customers do not have to worry about leaving with an empty stomach. The Upmarket Cafe has fresh hand-rolled sushi and sashimi prepared daily and on-the-go meal options including wraps, sandwiches and salads.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony of the flagship store, Walgreen's acknowledged World AIDS Day and the company's involvement in treating and preventing HIV/AIDS. The company announced their donation of $10,000 to Charles Drew University in recognition of its HIV-related programming and outreach.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said, "I'm very proud that Walgreens has chosen Los Angeles for its milestone 8,000th store, and is providing Hollywood residents with more access to pharmacy, health and wellness services. This flagship location brings not only a unique retail offering to this community, but also additional jobs and economic investment that help build a vibrant neighborhood."
Customers at the new Walgreen's can enjoy eight different flavors of self-serve frozen yogurt. There are 24 different types of fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies available at the Smoothie bar. For those customers looking for something warm to drink there is also barista preparing coffee and espressos.
Walgreens is also bringing eco-friendly products to their store with the new ology product line.
Just when I thought I had seen everything imaginably possible, I was introduced to the dynamic liquor department. A virtual bartender is available to help customize and create cocktails just in time for the holidays. There are more than 700 fine wines, unique craft beers and more.
